Terms of Service

Terms covering use of this website and the dispute services we provide. Substantive engagement terms are agreed in writing on a per case basis.

Use of this website

The information on this website is provided for general information only. It is not legal or financial advice and should not be relied on as such. Every case is different. We give specific advice only after taking your case on and reviewing your file.

No client relationship from the website

Submitting the contact form, sending an email, or messaging us on WhatsApp does not by itself create a client relationship. A client relationship begins only when we have agreed in writing to take on your case and the engagement terms.

Engagement terms

Once we agree to take on your case, we issue a written engagement letter setting out the scope of work, the fee structure, the timeline, and the obligations on both sides. The engagement letter governs the working relationship. Nothing on this website overrides the engagement letter.

No outcome guarantees

We do not guarantee any specific result from a dispute. CIFAS removals, CCJ set asides, credit file disputes and Financial Ombudsman cases all involve independent decision makers whose findings we cannot control. Our success rates published on this site are historical, on cases we agreed to take, and are not a forecast of any individual case.

Fees

Initial 30 minute consultations are free. Thereafter, fees are quoted in writing in the engagement letter and not on this website. Some service lines are offered on an outcome based arrangement; this is also set out in the engagement letter.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the website or our services is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the relevant event. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Intellectual property

The text, design, code and images on this website are the property of ClearMyName UK unless otherwise noted. You may share links and quote short passages with attribution. Substantial copying is not permitted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising from these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
